How to contribute to the Twetch Meme Library
Green members and approved contributors can preserve memes. Every upload needs useful metadata, and AI slop does not belong here.
The fastest way to ruin a public archive is to make uploads frictionless and cleanup somebody else's problem.
Twetch opens Meme Library uploads to active Twetch Green members, administrators, and separately approved contributors. Sign in and unlock your eligible account to use Add meme.
Green membership includes upload access
Active Twetch Green members receive upload access automatically, including members with current prepaid BSV terms or permanent Green access. An administrator approves contributors directly when granting separate manual access; those approvals still receive a notification.
Green upload access follows your membership status. When membership expires, new uploads require renewal or a separate manual approval. Canceling renewal keeps access through the paid term. Removing manual approval does not remove active Green access. The $1 mint service fee and upload and mint network fees remain separate from membership.
Upload things worth keeping
Use the cleanest original file you can find. Avoid social-media screenshots, tiny thumbnails, obvious duplicates and images covered in interface chrome. If an existing meme only needs better tags, fix the record instead of uploading another copy.
No AI-generated memes. No bulk-generated variations. No AI slop with fake artifacting passed off as an old image. The point is to preserve internet culture made and used by people, not to inflate a page count.

The image has cultural use, a recognizable lineage, or a reason somebody will search for it later. - It is the best available copy
Prefer an original export or clean file over a screenshot, crop or recompressed repost. - It is not already there
Search the character, category and likely tags before adding another copy.
Name it like another person has to find it
Every upload needs a name, a category and at least one tag. You can add up to 16 tags and a description up to 600 characters. Use the terms visible in the image plus the terms people use for the meme family.
Sticker uploads belong in Sticker Packs. Keep the pack name in the title, then add the character, action and mood a person might remember. A useful description says what is in the image, what version it is, and why it may differ from similar results. Plain facts beat keyword soup.
What happens when you upload
Each image is published as a standalone B:// media transaction. Multi-image batches are sent one at a time, so every accepted file receives its own transaction reference.
Contributors can edit the library records for their own uploads. The media transaction remains the durable source underneath those searchable details.
Upload access comes with a responsibility to leave the archive cleaner than you found it.
Good contributors do not ask how many files they can add. They ask which missing file is worth preserving.
